COLD AND FLU

 

Individuals often gets cold and flu during the winter and spring season.

Flu is more severe than jhukam. 



लोगों को सर्दी जुखाम की समस्या सर्दियों और बसंत के मौसम मै ज्यादा होती है। जुखाम के लक्षण नाक बहना , खासी होना , जमाव ,सरदर्द,बदन दर्द और कभी कभी बुखार का होना भी है।

    The symptoms are all too familiar; runny nose, cough, congestion, headache, an achy body, and some times fever.

    Ayurvedically speaking, colds are a Kapha disorder. The body builds up an excess of cool and moist Kapha qualities , resulting in congestion and runny nose, and at the same time it may suffer from excess Vata, which reduce gastric fire, leading to chills, loss of appetite and  poor digestion.

आयुर्वेद के अनुसार सर्दी जुखाम कफ मै आए बदलाव से होता है। शरीर मै ठंड और नमी के जम जाने से म्यूकस का जमाव और नाक बहने लगती है। इसके परिणामस्वरूप भूख नहीं लगती और पाचन क्रिया भी मंद हो जाती है।

    The best remedy for cold is ginger. Ginger greatly relieve your cold symptoms and hasten full recovery.

सर्दी को भगाने के लिए अदरक का सेवन सबसे उत्तम है।

  Ginger cardamom-cinnamon tea is also a excellent recipe  against cold and flu.

सर्दी जुखाम से ठीक होने के लिए अदरक दालचीनी और इलायची की चाय बहुत ही प्रभावकारी है।




If you are using aspirin than Don't combine Ginger and Aspirin. Ginger and Aspirin are both blood thinners and should not be taken together. Therefore it is wise to drink ginger tea-or use any other ginger remedy either two hour before or two hours after you take any aspirin.

अदरक और ऐस्प्रिन को साथ मै नहीं खाना चाहिए । सर्दी जुखाम मै विटामिन c का सेवन स्वास्थ्यवर्धक होता है।

    Vitamin C is will be beneficial in case of cold and flu.

Natural nose drop in the morning and evening like liquid ghee or mustard oil will lubricate the nasal passages and relieve the irritation and sneezing of a cold.

सुबह शाम को नाक मै घी लगाना चाहिए इससे नाक की अंदरूनी सतह कोमल होती है और छींकने के समय राहत मिलती है।;

Drinking hot water several times in a day is and effective way to remove toxins from the system and hasten recovery from a cold.

दिन मै बार बार गरम पानी पीने से हमारे शरीर से टॉक्सिन निस्कासित होते हैं। सर्दी जुखाम मै दुग्ध उत्पादों जैसे दही, चीज़ ,कच्चा दूध और कोल्ड ड्रिंक्स का उपभोग नहीं करना चाहिए।

Own should avoid dairy products like yogurt, cottage cheese , milk and cold drinks.

Rest is very important part of healing.

शरीर को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए आराम करना बहुत जरूरी है।


EXCERCISE:

सर्दी जुखाम मै कठिन परिश्रम वाली कार्य और व्यायाम नहीं करने चाहिए।

    Ayurveda suggest only mild exercises can be performed own should not do any vigorous exercise, which can set up the condition for cold to move into the chest.

कुछ सामान्य व्यायाम जैसे सूर्य नमस्कार और अधो मुख वृक्षासन जैसे व्यायम किए जा सकते हैं।

इनवर्टेड व्यायाम से नाक मै फसा म्यूकस निकाल जाता है।

Just do some gentle Yogasana like sun salutation is beneficial. The inverted postures, including shoulder stand and headstand(hold for about only one minute) as well as forward bend, help to prevent postnasal drip and help to drain the mucus through the nose.






Breathing exercises 

Use the breath of fire breathing exercise to help burn up your cold. Inhale normally and passively, but exhale forcefully, and repeat rapidly several times. The exercise will help to eliminate mucus from the respiratory tract


श्वास को लेते समय सामान्य स्वास और छोड़ते समय जोर से छोड़ने से स्वास नली मै फसा बलगम निकाल जाता है। बारी बारी से एक एक नाक से सांस लेने से भी स्वास नली मै हुए जमाव को निकाल जा सकता है।

    Another effective breathing exercise is deep alternative nostril breathing without retention of breath. This will also help in relieving congestion.
